Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa, meet and greet by our Tibetan guide and transfer to your hotel, rest of the afternoon free for acclimatization as you fly from low land to high altitude.
Day 2: Lhasa Sightseeing including Jokhang temple, the heart of Tibetans religious shrine and observe the people doing the kora every morning. The temple was originally constructed in 7th century and one of the popular icon of Tibetan Buddhism. Visit to Potala palace once lived Dalai Lama there, one of the major attraction of Lhasa, the main palace got divided into two different portions, the white part and the red part. Originally the palace was constructed by SrongtsenGompo back in 7th century and later they keep adding the part of the complex. Located on top of the hill that overlooks Lhasa town. Listed in the world heritage site by Unesco, the palace is full of chapels, shrines and murals of old days.
Afternoon visit to Norbulinkha, the winter palace of Dalai Lama constructed by 7th Dalai Lama back in 1755. Later addition of chapels, pools and garden by 14th Dalai lama. This palace is a perfect example Tibetan-European architecture with modern living quarters for Dalai Lama with perfect western bathrooms.
Day 3: Lhasa sightseeing including Drepung Monastery, one of the biggest monastery of Gelukpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism founded in 1416 by disciple of Tsongkhapa, JamyangChojey. Located about 5 kms west of the main town, this was a residence for more than 15000 monks until 1960. Monastery is specially famous for its construction with caves, pagodas and temple of JamyangChojey. After completing visit to Drepung monastery continue sightseeing to Sera monastery, one of the biggest school of gelukpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism founded in 1419.Sera means “merciful hail”. It is so said to have been so named out of rivalry to its neighbor Drepung. Situated about four kilometers north of Lhasa, on the lower slopes of a range of barren hills named Tatipu, famous for silver ore.
Afternoon visit to Mentisikhing( Tibetan medicine Center): The history of herbal medicine dated back to even 2500 years, having great value in the past days. The main Tibetan medicine institute was founded back in 1916 to do research in Tibetan herbal medicine and give training to produce traditional Tibetan doctors. One of the biggest institute, most of the theory portrayed on a traditional painting as a teaching tool.
Day 4: Transfer to Gongar international airport in Lhasa for flight to Kathmandu. Arrival in Kathmandu, meet and greet by our guide/representative in Kathmandu airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the afternoon free.
Day 5: Sightseeing of Kathmandu valley including Swoyambhunathstupa also popular by the name monkey temple among the foreigners overlooks Kathmandu. One of the popular Buddhist temple visited by local peoples in the morning time.Kathmnadu Durbar square, located in heart of Kathmandu actually is an old palace complex full of temples including KumariGhar, Kalbhairav temple and old courtyards like Nasal chok and Lohanchok.
Afternoon visit to Patan Durbar Square including old palace by mallas, temples and old courtyards, golden temple, one of the popular monastery of patan where the priest of the temple is a small boy and Kumbheswor temple, only temple with five roofs in Patan.
Day 6: Sightseeing of Kathmandu valley including Boudhanath, the biggest stupa of south Asia and one of the biggest of the world. Pashupatinath, one of the popular hindu pilgrimage shrine located on the bank of Bagmatiriver where they do cremation of the dead bodies.
Afternoon visit to Bhaktapur Durbar square including old palace complex with fifty five windowed palace, statue of BhupatindraMalla, the giant bell, Nyatpole temple in Taumadhi square and Dattraya temple.
Day 7: Transfer to Kathmandu airport and Take a flight to Paro crossing the spectacular view of the Himalayan Mountains.Arrival in Paro meet by our guide and proceed a visit to Paro museum considered a national museum of Bhutan. After visit to the museum drive to Thimpu, capital city of Bhutan.
Day 8: Sightseeing of Thimpu
After breakfast proceed for a visit to national museum especially famous for preserving Bhutanese art and displays day to day lifestyle of Bhutanese farmers. Visit to traditional paper making factory. Handmade paper were extensively used from teaching learning activities as well as upto write prayers by monks. Continue visit to Motithangtakin preserve where you can see a golden Takins, a national animal from Bhutan and also a viewpoint to overlook thimpu.
Afternoon visit to Tashichhodzong which is considered administrative center of Bhutan, office for king and ministers.
Day 9: Drive from Thimpu to Punakha.
Drive to Punakha crossing a popular pass in Bhutan called Dochula. The pass is considered best view point to see the highest mountain of Bhutan Jomolhari and many other peaks. Punakha was a capital of Bhutan until 1955. Later visit to PunakhaDzong, a perfect example of Bhutanese architecture located at the confluence of two rivers Cochu and Mochu. Built in1639 this is the second largest and second oldest Dzong in Bhutan.
Day 10: Drive from Punakha to Paro.
This day particularly famous for visiting the main attraction of Bhutan Taksang monastery also popular by the name tiger’s nest.Built on a hillside cliff only accessible by foot. This supposed to be a cave where Guru Rimpoche has done meditation. Later take a visit to ruins of DrukgyalDzong and KyichuLakhang one of the oldest Buddhist temple in Bhutan founded back in 7th century.
Day 11: Transfer to Paro airport and take a flight to Kathmandu: arrival in Kathmandu and rest of the afternoon free for doing a shopping and take a rest as well as do the preparation for final departure.
Day12: Transfer to Airport for departure to your home country.

Things you need to know before you travel to Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan
Do I Need to book the trip in Advance?
Of course, last minute booking to Tibet and Bhutan is very difficult as you need to get permit to travel to Tibet and even for Bhutan we need to process for your visa.
Do I get Visa to these countries upon arrival?
For Nepal you can get a visa upon arrival but for Tibet and Bhutan you have to process earlier. For Bhutan and Tibet you get a paper visa.
Do I need to handover my original passport to get visa?
To get a visa to Tibet you have to handover your original passport to us for at least three working days (subject to change), in case of Bhutan we get your paper visa, producing that paper visa you can get original in your passport at the point of entry. To process visa to both countries we need a good scanned copy of your passports in advance.
Is it very cold these Himalayan countries?
Depend with the season Tibet is cold, Bhutan is mild and Nepal is cold only in the winter.
Do I get some health problems travelling to these countries?
Normally not, but as Tibet is quiet high some people might suffer from mild acute mountain sickness.
Is there medication available for this?
Yes and it is always better to take a good rest than taking medicines.
Can I buy the flight tickets on my own?
It is always better we buy the tickets because if the permit and visa is not received in time we change the tickets accordingly.
