Tibet
With an average elevation of more than 4500 m. Tibet considered roof of the world and is an autonomous region belongs to People’s Republic of China. Bordering to the south by Nepal, part of India and Bhutan, east west and north share the border by different Chinese province. Subsistence farming is very important though tourism has become growing industry for last few years. Homeland for Buddhist people they have their own language Tibetan but recent days frequently speak Chinese also. As Tibet border with Himalayas towards south all rain bearing wind blocked by the high mountains resulting a rain shadow effect developing severely dry atmosphere most of the year. Lhasa, the capital of Tibet autonomous region having two world heritage sights, the Potala palace and Norbulinkha, which were the residences for Dalai Lamas. Lhasa concentrates with significant amount of temples and monasteries including Jokhang, Drepung, Sera and Ramoche. People visit different towns including Gyantse, Shigatse, Xegar, Tingri and can take a drive all the way to Everest Base Camp on the northern side. Tibet is equally popular for its three of the holy lake Mansarovar, yamdroktse and Namtso. Western Tibet specially popular doing the spiritual tours visiting Mt Kailash and dipping in the holy lake Mansarovar. By dipping in this lake one should wash all the sins committed during his /her life. Mt. Kailash is the greatest religious center for Hindus, Buddhist and Shikhs as well.
