Gokul Sapkota
Managing Director
Gokul Sapkota is the inspirational leader and Managing Director of Himalayan Travel Consultant, bringing over two decades of experience in Nepal’s tourism industry. Raised in the mountains near Ganesh Himal, Gokul's journey began humbly as a porter and evolved into becoming a government-licensed trekking and city guide, later turning into a visionary entrepreneur deeply committed to authentic and sustainable tourism.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management, then broadened his horizons through foreign language training—becoming fluent in English, Spanish, Japanese and is currently studying Chinese. This linguistic proficiency allows him to connect deeply with travelers around the globe.

He served as an Executive Committee Member and Welfare & Crisis Coordinator at the Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN), representing over 1,500 trekking agencies.

He held key roles in Nepal’s NGO ecosystem as Joint Secretary of the NGO Federation of Nepal, Kathmandu Branch (2016–2018) and as an Executive Member of the NGO Federation of Nepal (2019–2021)—positions earned through election by civil society peers.

Gokul is the President of Junkiri Nepal, a non-partisan NGO he founded to support education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and community development in Nepal’s most vulnerable areas.

Senior Travel consultant
A university graduate who started his first step in tourism as a porter back in 90’s, now works as a Senior Travel Consultant at Himalayan Travel Consultant. He is very professional on suggesting the appropriate itineraries according to the need of our valuable clients. He carefully makes itineraries, picks hotels and manages guides and transports according to the needs of our customers. He knows all ins and outs in Himalayan Tourism. He is responsible for taking care of all the programs, Itineraries and activities. One of the foundation stone of the company also serves as quality controller to maintain a smooth operation of the company.
Santosh Dhakal
Junior Travel Consultant
Pretty young lad in the company is very responsible in his duties. Taking care of answering all the questions and queries of our potential customers also serves as mountain leader for many of our groups. Normally reports to senior travel consultants and serves as a bridge between clients and managing director.Santosh who came from the lap of the Manaslu mountain which is one of the world’s 8000 m. peak. He was enthusiastic to go to mountains which is visible from his home village. As he likes to climb those high hills, he started to go mountains as trekking guide. He has been to most of the popular treks. He already gained experience of climbing high passes. Santosh is also a jolly fellow in the company. People who trekked with him they never forget his smiling face.
Sharada Wagle
Chief Financial Officer
A university graduate in management, Mrs. Sharada is responsible for all financial matters of the company. Runs the company accounts smoothly and reports to the managing director. She is responsible for all the accounting, payments and settlements of dues of the companies.
Chandra Timilsina - Transport Incharge
Born in the beautiful Langtang valley, a passionate leader and pioneer of Nepalese tourism got his degree in Management from Tribhuvan University. As a Transport Incharge of the company he is responsible for managing day to day movement of the vehicles, cost control and quality control of transport system is his main duties. A responsible fellow in case of emergencies and rescue who is available round the clock and alert 24/7.
Shyam Raj - Tour manger
A passionate traveller who travelled extensively throughout south Asian country Shyam is responsible look after day to day movement. Materialize the programs given to the clients is his main responsibility. He reports to the managing director about customer’s satisfaction and feedbacks. Allocate the right personnel to the customers and maintain a bridge between workforce and customer is also comes under his responsibility.
Amrita Duwadi - Chief accountant
A charming lady from middle hills in Nepal is responsible for budgeting, payments, bills and overall accounting of the company and reports to chief finanacial officer. Got her degree in management, worked for different organization and joined the team since one year. Also reports to the managing director she is responsible for book keeping and looks after the tax and insurance for individuals working in the company.
Siri Krishna Lamichhane (Siri) - Tour guide and guest relation 
We are happy to announce our customers that a veteran tour guide and guiding legend work with us. With 17 years of experience in guiding with different multinational companies joined our company since inception. Reports to managing director and responsible for taking people to different excursions as well as transferring them to different places is his responsibility. Licensed guide from department of tourism and trained from Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management is also a life member of tourist guide association of Nepal. Got a degree in geology and demography he is very proficient guide in the company.
Ajay Silwal - Tour guide
A charming fellow who came from Pokhara valley, the lap of Annapurna, the famous trail of the world. Got his degree in English literature working as a tour guide in the company.A diligent man who is enthusiastic to show real Nepal to our customers. People are very happy and curious about his tours in Nepal. Licensed by Department of tourism, Government of Nepal and also a member of tourist guide association of Nepal.
Yadu Adhikari - Trekking guide
An energetic and young fellow who was born in the lap of Manaslu, the 8th highest mountain of the world. He started his career as a trekking porter eight years ago with a zeal to see the all the mountains in Nepal. Few years after working as a porter he is upgraded himself as porter cum guide and now he is working as a trekking guide. He has already been to most of the popular routes in Nepal. Having an extensive knowledge over first aid he is also very efficient in doing the hikes in the high Himalayas.
