Kanchanjunga Region
Kanchanjunga is the mountain located in the eastern part of Nepal. Normally people take a flight to Tumlingtar to enter the valley of Tamor Khola and to reach the Ghunsa Khola. Ghunsa Khola is the major river draining the northwest side of the Kanchanjunga Himal. The river is followed upstream almost up to the source where the base camp of Kanchanjunga is located. After retracing your steps all the way to Ghunsa and crossing the high pass the route will take you the south side of the massif.
