Everest Region
Before 65 million years ago, as the tectonic plates keep moving and they got converged in now a days where the India is located was a sea which is populer by the name Tethis sea. The sea started disappearing and formation of the mountain started. Those mountains are now famous by the name Himalayas. The Himalayas is the mountain chain that starts in Bhutan to the east and end at Pakistan to the west which is one of the longest continuous chain of the mountains. The Himalayas is divided in different regions. The major part of the Himalaya is located in Nepal. Some area these mountain chain in Nepal are totally inside the Nepal and some area they serve as a border line between Nepal and Tibet. In Nepal the Himalayan regions are classified into four different regions. More to the east is Everest region where the roof of the world Everest is located, going from Everest towards the west there come Langtang region which is birdwatcher’s paradise, further to the west is Manaslu region and more towards west is the Annapurna region. Annapurna region has the most wonderful hikes of the world.
Everest Region is considered the eastern part of Himalaya in Nepal that has the most popular trekking routes. Everest region is also dwelled by Sherpas who are very strong and popular people for climbing and engaging in different type of expedition activities in the mountain area.
