Pack list to go to Everest Base camp by Himalayan Travel Consultant

Himalayan Travel Consultant wish all our potential customers read carefully the packing list of equipment and necessary clothing before they depart from their home country. The trip to Everest base Camp, Everest Three high Pass Trek or any treks in the higher elevation needs sufficient attention to do packing for having better experience and to make the trip more comfortable. As everybody need to take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, with limited weight but not lo leave the basic needs in their home or in Kathmandu we prepare the packing list so one can get a good idea to buy or include the most important articles before they depart. The major weight is carried by porters and a day bag with all the necessities of the day the clients are carrying on their own. Every person has their own preference but this list is complete list which covers more or less everything which is vital to complete the trip successfully.

Toiletries and medicines

Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, small paper towel, wet wipes, nail clippers, hand sanitizers, earplugs, contact lenses and liquids (if you use lens), small mirror, Vaseline, deodorant, sanitary napkins for women of menstrual age, antifungal powder to remove odor from your boots, small bandages, a kitbag with brush, Razor, saving foam or cream for man, laundry soap, tweezers and scissors. Personal first aid kit containing Paracetamol, Diamox, omeprazole, sun cream and lip balm, nose spray ,bandage for blisters and burns as well as small cuts. Medicines for diarrhea, fever, sore throat, muscle aches and pains, antibiotics, medicines for allergies and eye drops, water purifying pills or liquids and iodine solution.

Electric equipment

Mobile phone, camera, spare batteries, chargers, adopters, headlamp, power bank, card reader, charging cables, watch, thermal box for batteries, pen drive with all scanned documents.

Clothing

Sleeping bag, 4 pair of woolen socks, 2 pair of cotton socks, quick dry T-shirts (2 long, 2 sorts), 1 sweatshirt, 5-6 briefs, 1 water and snow resistance long trouser, 1 wind stoppers, 1 sweat pant or long trouser for lodges, 1 fleece jacket, 1 down jacket, woolen cap and sunhat with neck covering, 1 pair of gloves, hiking boots with extra shoe laces, small quick dry towel, flip flop for showers, tennis shoes for inside the lodge, trousers with pocket for day walk.

Bags and Equipment

One travel bag or suitcase to come to Kathmandu, one duffle bag for trek, a day bag with rain covers, Passport bag, toiletries bag, 2 small waterproof bags, few dry bags, trekking poles, Sun glass and their cases, mini crampons, 2 carabineers, water bottles, camel back, thermal blanket, bottle nozzles, notebooks and pens, games and books for your free time. An optional small rope and rope fixers to dry clothes when you are inside the lodges.  

Energy Bars, Chocolates, cereal bars and extra snacks during your walk

Necessary Papers

Passport, 2 photocopies of medical, accidental insurance, medical document, airline ticket, list of urgent contact and passport photo ( 4 copies) for your permits. One copy of all the documents you have to carry all the time and one copy leave it to agency. Banking or card detail either in cloud offline or you have to carry for your personnel needs.
