We have regular trip to Everest for normal hikers but still if you want to make your journey memorable for life time we combined helicopter trip to base camp and part of the trek to discover Everest area so you can get the essence of walking in the higher elevation. This is very ideal family trip. The trip gives you opportunity to unveil the secrets of both walking and taking a helicopter to Everest area. As luxury lodges are concentrated only in the lower part, the higher part you can complete seeing by helicopter and escape the chance of suffering from acute mountain sickness. The trek takes you to the gateway of Everest and the biggest village of the area Namche and we put two spare days to do side trips from Namche so you can discover the whole area.

Why this is very ideal trip?

This actually is a great trip for Everest area as it gives ample opportunity to gaze upon the view of whole Everest range. High altitude and its effect are avoided taking helicopter for that part. Three of the great Sherpa villages are covered in the program. The Everest can be seen in two different perspectives as you can see from different viewpoints and from helicopter too. Admiring aerial view of the Khumbu valley including small settlements is truly a great reward for everyone.

Detailed Itinerary of the trip

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and free afternoon. As you arrive in Kathmandu airport, complete the airport formalities and our staff who is waiting outside with your name page. Meet our staff and transfer to your hotel. Take a rest and recover from the Jetlag or if you want to wander around Kathmandu you can do that on your own.

Day 02: Early morning flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding. The scenic flight to Lukla is taken early in the morning which lands at an elevation of 2,860 meter above sea level. Porters prepare your bags. A cup of tea, coffee meantime porters arrange your bags and you start the trek; reach Phakding and overnight stay there at Yeti Mountain Home.

Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar and overnight at Luxury lodge in Namche. The trail follows Dudhkoshi River upstream and after crossing the river goes uphill to reach namche Bazar. Reach Namche Bazar, check inn in the hotel and rest of the day leisure.

Day 04: Side trip to Everest View Hotel, Khumjung and overnight stay at Namche Bazar. After having a breakfast hike up for few hours reach Everest View hotel. You can have a hot drink there with spectacular view of Everest in Everest View Hotel and continue to discover one of the biggest villages of the area Khumjung with its beautiful monastery. You can have Lunch at Khumjung and walk back to Namche for overnight stay.

Day 05: Side trip to Thame and discover Thame. About three hours hike to reach the village of Thame, the birth place of many of the record holding mountaineers in Everest area. Discover the village and monastery there and have lunch at local restaurant. Walk back to Namche and overnight stay at the same lodge.

Day 06: Excursion to Everest Base camp, Kalapathhar by Helicopter and fly back to Kathmandu on the same helicopter. Take early morning breakfast and wait in the helipad, our helicopter arrive from Kathmandu and take you to Everest Base camp. Helicopter lands at Kalapathhar to take some nice snaps of Everest and continue flying back to Kathmandu. The helicopter might stop either at Lukla or Everest View Hotel for refueling and continue to Kathmandu.

Day 07: Departure from Kathmandu. On a proper time you can get a transfer to the airport and take a flight to your home country or another destination.
