Adventurous and scenic flight to Lukla

Lukla itself is a thrilling airport due to its location and its short runway and its shape and slope on the runway. It is so perfectly designed that as the plane lands the acceleration is automatically decrease as there is upslope and the runway ends in a small hill. They make a sharp right turn to park and stop. The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla gives opportunity to see the terraces and villages where one can see lots small village houses with blue and green color roof which are constructed after the Earthquake. There are views of the pastureland and views of the mountains from Everest area as the flight approaches Lukla.

Namche village is famous for its views of the mountain, museum and availability of each and every thing whatever a trekker needs to accomplish the journey up to base camp. Namche is often a place from where there are different choices to take as from this village there are different routes going on to different parts of Everest.

One of the luxury properties located at the high elevation though they have very little rooms and in high season it is very hard to get rooms there but it’s worth visiting and have a cup of tea coffee or one meal there. The view from Everest View is simply stunning and one can gaze upon many of the peaks from the area.

Everest Base Camp

A camp with colorful tent where the mountaineers spent a huge amount of time before and after summiting Everest as well as a trekkers and day visitors enjoy the tea, coffee with apple pie. Actually is a boundary to separate trekkers and expedition members because from this point the expedition permit to Everest starts. The Base Camp is located above active glaciers and a place to observe the Khumbu glacier.

Kalapathhar

One of the popular viewpoints located at 5,500 meter from where one can get the best view of Everest and many other peaks from Everest area. Besides Everest there is a view of Mt. Nuptse and Mt. Pumori from this point. From the last overnight stop Gorakshep, one can reach by walking about an hour.

The pristine river of Dudhkoshi

As the name suggest the color of water is white because it flows from limestone terrain and the gradient is quite high in many of the area. The suspension bridge above the river is also an attraction for visitors to Everest Base Camp. The river starts from Khumbu glacier and is perennial fed by outflow from glacier.

Everest National Park

Listed in world heritage site by UNESCO, one of the best national parks to observe biodiversity of the mountain area. Musk deer, Himalayan thar, pheasants, the national bird of Nepal, lophophores are very common flora found in these areas. The national park is famous for wide range of landscape and views.

Khumbu Icefall and glacier

One of the biggest glaciers in Nepal and an icefall is located in the area. The trek to base camp is one of the opportunities to observe this glacier.
